XM Cyber is an enterprise leader in Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), empowering global organizations to discover, prioritize, and close attack paths before they can be exploited. The platform ingests massive volumes of cloud telemetry and security data, transforming raw logs into actionable exposure maps.
My Challenges
Enterprise cybersecurity interfaces often suffer from extreme cognitive overload, fragmented data, and alert fatigue. The primary challenge was taking highly complex attack graphs, dense cloud infrastructure logs, and multi-cloud environments, and translating them into clear, scannable workflows tailored to both researchers and remediators.
My Goal
Bridge the gap between complex threat intelligence and actionable UX, enabling security teams to remediate risks faster.
Build and scale a production-grade design system (XMDS) that aligns design and engineering across all product modules.
My Job Definition
Senior Product Designer: Led end-to-end UX/UI strategy across core platform modules, including CTEM Core, Cloud Detection & Response (CDR), Vulnerability Risk Management (VRM), and AI Discovery.
Design System Architecture: Co-built XMDS across 4 Figma libraries, primitive and semantic token architecture, WCAG AA accessibility, and 500+ custom icons.
Data-Driven & Edge-Case Frameworks: Leveraged product telemetry (FullStory, Pendo) and tested flows against a 6-archetype edge-case framework to validate core UX decisions.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Partnered directly with Product Management, Security Engineering, and Customer Success to define constraints and technical feasibility early.
Code Implementation & AI Tooling: Shipped production UI directly to React repositories using Git, Storybook, and AI coding agents, while driving Figma-to-code design QA.

AI Discovery
I owned the design of AI Discovery end-to-end, delivering a 0-to-1 feature to identify and govern Shadow AI across enterprise environments. By transforming high-volume endpoint telemetry into a clean, policy-managed inventory, the interface prioritizes visibility before enforcement, enabling security teams to audit unauthorized tool usage and apply policies without friction.

I led the end-to-end UX strategy for a vulnerability management interface designed to bridge traditional CVE scanning with attack-path intelligence. By contextualizing raw vulnerability data against actual exposure paths, the UI enables security teams to prioritize and remediate high-impact risks rather than drowning in endless CVE lists.
